I remember reading "Jonathon Worthington, Strangelight Investigator (Case #17: The Mystery of the Giggling Gobber)" back on the old Vanilla forums about 2 years ago.

Are you publishing something in this vein or a new work? Or is it a secret? ;-)

The book is called GEARTEETH and it's an alternate history steampunk werewolf western thing lol. I know, it sounds like an odd way of describing it, but the premise was "what if the werewolf virus was real and virulent in the old west?" Fast forward to 1910 when the last of humanity are stranded in floating salvation cities and the Earth has been abandoned to the beasts below. A brakeman on a Double T (Thunder Train) stumbles onto the truth behind things while he desperately works to keep a city aloft that casts him out.

As for Jonathon Worthington, I did start Case 18, but the damn drugs I was on last year screwed me in writing. I'll be reposting the JW Case 17 files on the website Kat's setting up for me, one a week, in the time up to my novel being published (it's an e-book publisher that if things go well enough then hits the print) and going to do Case 18. I feel bad for the folks following JW as the first chapter of Case 18 (the Mystery of the Purloined Past) was in freakin April, and thanks to the meds there hasn't been a 2nd chapter yet. While I'm under some fairly serious time crunches now for getting the book published I'm determined to find time for another chapter or two of Case 18 so it's not an annual thing =P

Right now I'm about half done with the book. I'd originally given the publisher a two month timeframe, but that was very generous. Rest assured I will pimp myself mightily when it's close to completion ;)

The good news is that if this all works out the other books I've written will have a great shot with this publisher too heh.
