WoW: tracking down patch changes
  • Mature language filter fix is in! Woo. Now I can disable that stupid addon.

Anyway, when I logged in, I got some marks of the world tree, "conquest arena metas," and "conquest BG metas," none of which are changes detailed in the patch notes. Thanks Blizz!
    http://us.battle.net/wow/en/blog/4389517/World_of_Warcraft_Patch_432-1_31_2012#blog

But what can I expect from a company that makes a blog post with patch notes that says "Notes for all World of Warcraft patches can be found here" and when you click the link, the resulting page doesn't have the notes in the blog post that you just left.

Anyway, here's the weird thing about the conquest metas: they're invisible.

There's nothing in the currency tab to denote any conquest meta points. I figured that they just added up to my conquest point total, but no:
    conquest meta total: 1815
    conquest points: 1790

I got 1 mark of the world tree on Smites, 3 on Swirly. Cillan got 22. I hate undocumented currency changes!

I'll be looking through the forums for info on this after I take a nap.

Best part of the patch notes, imo:
    Madness of Deathwing
    • The Priest spell Leap of Faith is no longer usable while under the effect of Carrying Winds.

Wow. A form of griefing in DS that I hadn't experienced yet. I wonder how many times people did that. I've run with some people who deserved to get Leap of Faithed into an abyss.

  • I knew that someone else around here would be obsessive kind enough to look that up in my absence. If my landlord goes into my crawlspace and bumps into things under my apartment again tomorrow morning while I'm asleep, I may nail the crawlspace door shut.

  • Replace 'obsessive/kind' with 'typed it into google'

  • Oh darn it. I complimented Hronk again. That's always trouble.
